The Juniper 4000 ACX Router for the Universal Access solution is an environmentally hardened, actively cooled, 2.5 RU modular, system that includes TDM (T1/E1, CHOC3/STM-1) ports, combination copper/fiber GbE ports, and 10GbE SFP+ interfaces, to provide a versatile access platform.

The ACX4000 is one of a family of next generation access routers that addresses the new network imperatives with an industry-leading performance of up to 60Gbps, while enabling a seamless end-to-end service delivery platform that can grow and adapt to changing subscriber expectations and traffic demands.

The Universal Access solution with ACX Series platforms is optimized to enhance the mobile subscriber experience while significantly improving network monetization for service providers. By delivering new levels of open SDK programmability, reliability, and scalability to the mobile network, the new Juniper Universal Access routing portfolio improves customer satisfaction while lowering the total cost of operating, maintaining and updating the network infrastructure.

The Universal Access solution redefines the service provider access network with support for seamless MPLS, comprehensive management with Junos Space (fault management, service monitoring, OAM), widely deployed and proven timing and synchronization technology, and SDK-enabled programmability.
