The new and improved Hitachi G700 Virtual Storage Platform is an enterprise-grade storage device that is powered by Hitachi’s Global Storage Virtualization. It is part of Hitachi’s new line of prodct, superceding the G600 and G800 series storage arrays.

The VSP G series delivers up to 4.8 million IOPS of flash performance. Scalability is delivered through advanced, active-flash tiering that analyzes data streams in real time and moves data from disk to flash for rapid access by active applications. This allows organizations to offer astounding performance and reliability with a cost-effective mix of flash and disk. To prevent latency spikes and ensure consistent performance over time, SVOS offers powerful quality of service (QoS) functionality.
